Your young, and periods are fairly new to you. its very normal for periods to be out of wack for the first few years, sometimes until your 21! So don't worry, everything is okay. :]
It takes about 1 to two years for your period to become regular then you will actually be able to predict when it begins and when it ends
your activity level can mess with it. i know it sucks and you dont want to but if u can stay active. aviod caffine and stress.
<3thanks<3
Everyone is different, so this might just be your normal cycle. However, this does sound a bit extreme. Have you been to a gynecologist yet? They can talk to you about your periods and examine you to see if something is out of wack. It may seem scary for the first time, but it's really not that bad. If this is your natural cycle you can go on the pill to regulate and make it more regular and easier to plan for, which will also make it shorter and manageable. Good luck!
You should see your gynecologist to make sure there isn't a problem - it could go either way on that.
I had similar problems and they ran a lot of tests on me, sure there was something wrong - nothing was wrong, I just had really long periods. Mine were two weeks at their minimum, though - worse than yours.
You need to have your blood checked also - you might have to go on an iron supplement to combat anemia. I didn't have to, which freaked the doctors out, but everyone is different.
Try to see the doctor soon, though - the longer you wait, the more menstruation runs your life instead of letting you live it.
ahm. . i think that's abnormal, actually we have the same problem. i suggest that you see a doctor on what's going on.
When in doubt check it out with your Dr. or gynocologist. It depends on how heavy the flow is and how much clotting(of the blood) is involved. Not all women are on 29 or 30 day cycles. If you feel very weak or tired alot after your periods ask your Dr. about an iron supplement.
