I haven't gotten my period in a week.?

Question:
I haven't gotten my period in a week, I never been with a man. I'm a very young teen. I never slept with a man, never even dated yet. So, I know I must not be pregant. I also haven't had a BM in about a week. I'm too scared to tell my parents - or anyone. I don't want to goto the doctor. My period NEVER been this late, usually the latest is a day or two. Does anyone know whats wrong? Thanks.

Answers:
since you know you're not pregnant your missed period MAY not be a problem. however. you won't know that for sure until you are checked.

a week without a BM is a pretty serious issue. its best that you tell your parents but, to be honest, i understand your fear. i had the same problem growing up. in the meanwhile you need to work on regulating your body. you need to encourage a natural BM by eating raw or dried fruits like apricots, prunes, even raisins. increase your intake of water as well. i'm not an expert in this but i know that fruits and water work very well for me.
if you are a young teen and have never been with anybody sexually then you have absolutely NOTHING to worry about!
when you are young it might always come the same day then not even come the next month or be a week early when you are young your body is not used to it yet and is not a cycle. you are perfectly fine it will eventually come or it wont this month (hopefully) lol but you are fine and u are just normal and it happens to everybody
its ok. if your period its like about a wk late it usually happens a lot during puberty, but in case you dont get it in the next few days talk to your parents ,and go to the doctor so you can get a check up! its normal dont worry! it used to happen to me a lot!
Hey girl i know how yoou feel about no wanting to tell your parents but in this situation i think you better or go to a clinic and talk to a girl they will listen and make you feel comfortable and they will tell you whats going on. they wont even tell your parents they let you u tell if its really serious. Im not trying to scare you but you better get checked out before this leads into somthing very serious
Period abnormalities can be due to many things including pregnancy, stress, weight gain/loss, hormonal imbalance, thyroid, medications, illness, infection, cyst, amongst other reasons. Please see your doctor to be tested so the exact cause can be determined.
You don't state how old you are exactly or how long you have had your period for. If you have only just started menstrating it is normal for them to be irregular.
Relax it will turn up. It's all normal. If you are really concerned go see your local doctor but I don't think you have anything to worry about
