What remedies would be best for vaginal itching?

Question:
At first it was only on the part of the groin and the itching isnt that much. Medicated washes only help temporarily and the itching is still there for 2 weeks now. Im not sexually active and i maintain good hygiene. What could be the cause? The itch doesnt bother much when im in daily routine but when i take a bath or wash the private area I cant stop itching that Im afraid Im getting some areas more irritated that it gets sore. Its the first time that I experienced this.

Reliable help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Answers:
try to wash it with a very very warm water, almost hot,do it regulary, and dry up with towell when u finish, dont clean up with soap or any other cleaner for vaginal area, it will kill the good bacteria in the vagina , it will make the area become more dry and itchy and also more irritation, try that, it's my personal experience also, good luck
I live in england and there is this thing called VAGISIL (cream)
Yeast infections aren't just from sexual activity, they're pretty common, and it sounds like something like that to this mom. I'd try Monistat cream from the drug store, and if it doesn't straighten up in a few days see the Dr. in case it's something more serious.

It's hard not to scratch! Cool compress and monistat. Be sure to wear cotton undies too, in case you're not doing that already.

Some women have allergic reactions to certain soaps. My mate has to use a special soap, sorry unsure of the name but it causes her to be itchy and sore.

Good luck
