Sex before a gynae appointment?

Question:
should you abstain from sex for a few days before the appointment, specially if you know you gonna have a scan and a pap done...

also can you see sperm or an ovum on a scan??

Answers:
Sex before your appointment could give false readings on your pap and std testings. You cannot see the sperm, unless you magnify it, and that isn't done in the office unless requested. At least not in the office I work in. Unless you are trying to have a baby and they need to count those swimmers. It's best to not have sex that morning, anyway. Otherwise, afterwards, have some romance and cuddles and all the fun you want. After the exam, we sometimes need to feel less like a pap slide, more like a woman.
Yes they can see sperm inside of you. Its best to not have sex within 24 hrs before your appt. Then afterwards go and have some fun!
You shouldn't have sex right before you have an examination but I don't think these are very strict rules. It's probably just best not to.
it is all up to the individual, no you cannot see sperm this needs a microscope but with a trans-vaginal scan you can actually see the follicles in the ovary.
yes.
