My daughter will be starting her period soon, since she is a virgin can she use a tampon ?

Question:
or does she need to use a pad. At what age is it appropiate to use tampons?

Answers:
when i got my first period, my mother gave me the option to use either pads or tampons. I've had my period for almost two years now, and i absolutly prefer tampons, i think that its up to your daughter which she feels most comfortable with, and the issue of her viginity has nothing to do with whether or not she would be able to use them. before you hand her a tampon, though, make sure she know's what to do with it, because many of my friends dont use them becuase they don't know how.
it doesnt matter.

just use em whenever.

i started using them right when i got my period.
it doesnt really matter, its usually more comfortable to wear a pad when you start, but thats just me
dont let her use tampons unless she's swimming while on her period, otherwise pads are much much safer & comfortable! let her use tampons when she's around 15 years old, that age is much more appropriate. good luck hope this helped :)
actually it might depend on her preference. she can start with light pads first but regarding tampoon affecting your daughter's virginity, you dont have to worry about that coz it wont affect it. tampoons are small and it wont tear the hymen ,the basis of virginity. or you can seek advise from a gynecologist too.
You can start using tampons when you start menstruating. It might be easier if she uses pads the first day or during her first period but if she wants to use tampons at any time it's cool.

Edit: the hymen is NOT the basis for virginity not having sex with anyone is the basis for virginity.
any age is appropriate to use tampons
if your daughter comfortable with a tampon let her use it
it depends if she comfortable with either one she can use it
When I first got mine I started with pads I just tend to like them better for the fact I don't have to worry about changing them as often for the fact they are bigger. Its really up to her thought if she wants to use them let her try. My mom has never cared what I used I'm 18 now by the way. I would only use a tampon if I was simming or doing sports, but let her try both if she really wants to so she can see what she likes better.
Any age is appropriate. Just depends on what is most comfortable for her. I hardly ever used pads, I didn't like the wet feeling. My daughter is 16 and she has used tampons since she first started. But, despite what joyysha says, it can tear the hymen. It did mine.
she should wait until she feels comfortable using one. it won't "de-virginize" her, since it doesn't break the hymen. until her period becomes a regular occurrence, she might be more comfortable using pads. to use a tampon, you can't be too "dry" (for lack of a better phrase). if there isn't enough blood, then it can cause tears in the vagina, and lead to infection. she needs to be responsible enough to change the tampon ever 4-6 hours, or when needed.

you never know when she'll start, it could be in a week, it could be in a few years.
You can explain to her the comforts and discomforts of wearing a tampon and what happens and of wearing a pad. If you had the personal experience it will help you to, or you could ask a friend, then also let her decide.
yes she can use tampons & she will still be a virgin pads tampons all the same but be sure to talk to her about it see what she wants my mom didn't & i didn't want to talk to her about it any way but i found out on my own
