No, it sounds like you are in good health, and kudos for staying on the downlow for the sexual activity. I had to go to a gyno when I was 14.talk about embarressed.I got a stupid yeast infection.I didnt become sexually active until 18 and then I did go to get BC pills.
If you do become sexually active, I would get a visit in to be on the safe side.ask around, find out if there are any women drs. Rest assured.I bet there are alot women gynos who have seen girls just like you.1st time and nervous.
I am 18, and have never been to a gyno, either. However I am sexually active. I went to a Dr. for another reason and she said that the only reason I should go is that I have been sexually active lately, so if I wasn't, I probably wouldn't need to go. You only need to go if you discover a problem or something.
I wouldn't say its a "bad" thing. I would say it is unwise. You should go to a gyn. at least yearly for a pap test. Cervical and related cancers do not know your age. You have heard the old adage that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"...there is nothing to be afraid or embarrassed about. It isn't as bad as all the horror stories you've been told. See one to make sure you are healthy and to make sure you stay that way.
