How many times per year should a woman recieve a pap-smear?

Question:

Answers:
Once a year starting the first time you have had sex, or at the age of 18. You will need to have STD checks once you become active, and get birth control. It is best to make your exam every year at around the same time. If you ever have an abnormal pap come back, then you will come in every 4 to 6 months until it is cleared up.
my gynacologist said 1 time a year.
the standard is once a year..after you've started your period...or on the date of your last child..annually. so go schedule an appointment:)
Generally every1-2 years unless the last one came back abnormal. In which case it may be in 6months but the Doctor would inform you.
the standard is once a year but as 20 year old NA and college student I suggest they up it to every 6mo. I see sooooooooo many men and woman comming into the hospital with conditions that they didn't know they had. In addition to I'm constantly hearing other students talk about what they did...

Short answer: Be safe+ responsible and when in doubt see a doc!
