Clear liquid from nipple after bleeding, nipple was scratched by cat?

Question:
A friend (female) of mine was scratched pretty good by a cat on one nipple, it bled, and then clear liquid came out. What is this clear liquid?!

Answers:
as long as it isn't milky or bloody it is just part of the healing process. If she squeezed the nipple and that's when it was found, it could be from an underlying cyst that she never even knew about. Cysts are fairly normal. Clear isn't dangerous! Don't worry! I freaked out about that once and went to an oncologist and he practically laughed me out the door. Clear is normal and ok! Just keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get infected. Don't listen to the people saying it is milk and it means you're pregnant. They don't know what they're talking about :)
Puss, probably.
Probably from the healing wound. It's probably best to just let it dry out and see a doctor if it looks infected.
its probably exudate. its like.. plasma or something. it happens with wounds. its got something to do with the healing process i think. so dont panic. but keep a eye on it.. if it obviously turns yellow, like pus.. then go to the doc!
It's normal. It's just serous fluid and it's common to see it weeping or seeping out of a wound or burn. It's a cause for concern only if it becomes thick and purulent. That's pus..not the clear fluid you're seeing....
