Can gymnastics delay getting your period?

The short answer to this question is yes. But it's really not as simple as that. Everyone is different. Young girls who participate in sports such as gymnastics and ballet often start their periods later due to a low body fat percentage. But if you are not starving yourself or working out too much it's not something to be too concerned about.
When you first start your period it's probably going to be pretty irregular for a while anyhow. It usually takes one to three years for girls to develope a normal cycle.

no your body just isnt ready be happy for that because for the rest of your life it seems like you will be wanting to get rid of it
i think its just a process everyone goes through but at there own pace i started at 10 and am 16 now

yes i can its cause by exercising to much and eating to little but your not going enough hours for it to delay ud have to go almost every week day for more than 3 hours a day it also has been proven that if u exercise more than u eat it will lead to the bones of a 70 year old even though your younger than 20 and it can stop you from having ur period
