Bad Cramps and leg?

Sometimes the cramps can travel to other parts of your body and cramp too. Here are a couple things i do to help my horrible cramps
1. take Midol. It comes in Midol teen for younger girls. Midol PMS for older women and severe cramps, and just regular Midol.
2. Lay on your side (not back) and put a hot water bottle, heating pad, or warm wash cloth on your lower stomach. The heat will help relax the cramps muscles.
3. try some light exercise. The exercise will also stretch the cramping muscles.

i don't cramp too badly, but occasionally my leg will have an excruciating cramp in the muscle on my calf, sometimes lasting up to 5 minutes.
i think it doesn't have anything to do with cramps, it could just be a coincidence.
