Answers:
Use a little sun tan lotion with a low spf (spf 5)and lay out in the sun with a swimsuit. With a swimsuit you can pull off the straps. I hope you aren't fair skinned because you will not get a tan in one day..maybe a sunburn, but not a tan. Don't lay out too long because you can also become dehydrated. 15 minutes at the most. So make sure you grab some cold water. I would say lay on a lawn chair or the pool. A pool is good because it reflects the suns rays. If you have time within a week you can be tanner by using Jergins daily glow. It gradually gets you tanner. I've used it and it won't leave you orange and the best part is no risk of skin cancer or looking like you 40 by age 25.

By not tanning because it can lead to skin CANCER and spots and discoloration
lol..whatever way you feel is more comfortable...you can get a tan pretty much anywhere in the summer...go outside between 1-4 in the afternoon...it doesn't matter if you're on a floaty or on the ground..:-)...make sure you use a little bit of sunscreen..esp. on ur face!
Wear a sunscreen.
Tanning is directly linked to skin cancer. If you burn yourself more than 3 times you're 50% more likely to have some sort of skin cancer in your life time. Is that really worth the risk?
As for how to tan better.. Using a tanning oil with a low spf will work. Floating in the pool will also help because of the sun reflections. It's recommended by doctors that you don't tan longer than 15 minutes at a time.
Tanning also produces premature wrinkles. Overall, exposure to UVA from sunlight accounts for about 90% of the symptoms of premature skin aging, and most of these effects occur by age 20.
The only safe tan is a fake one out of a bottle. A real sun tan is a scar, indicating that you have injured the skin. If you must lay in the sun, use a high SPF sunscreen, NOT baby oil, which offers you no protection whatsoever.
