I use Always but I have issues with them. They advertise it on the fact that you can throw out your period pants and wear your good pants. Pfft, what rot. The glue they use doesn't stick to good pants, doesn't stick to lycra or lace!
I think Kotex are quite good - nice and soft.

Any brand is good. Some brands have better leak protection,some have better odor locking. It also depends what size you are. I use always and I love it. My mom uses stayfree,so I guess you can try that.
Honestly, I've tried other brands and always go back to Always.
My personal favorite is Always with wings.
