Answers:
They may waive the fees for her. Go and ask, state the circumstances (a minor living at home, doesn't want the parents to know...).
No, its free if you can't afford it.
look on like google local or something and then try to call with the phone number it gives you. then ask and that should work
good luck with your friend
in oklahoma it is free. not sure about there. also im not sure if they give std tests
Planned Parenthood works on a sliding scale. How much you pay depends on how much you make. Any way you look at it it is a lot cheaper than the doctors, and it is completely confidential.
No, it does not cost anything and you don't even have to make an appointment. You can just walk in.
Call this number toll free to find out:
1-800-230-PLAN
You can simply call the clinic and ask. I'm sure she will need an appointment so she will need to ask then.
It's all done on a sliding scale, goes by income. If she is a minor, depending on the laws in your state, they should do these for free. Some laws do require that a minors parents be notified if any STD test comes back positive. She should maybe check on the laws and go from there; she could also call just as easily and they'll tell her exactly what they do word for word. Good Luck to your friend.
Most planned parenthoods now charge for all services. There charges are usualy reasonable. If there is a crisis pregnancy clinic nearby they always provide tests for free. They do not all offer STD test (I think they should)
If you need things for the kid, the /Crisis Clinic will give you stuff.
I'm not sure how much it will be but I know that Planned Parenthood understands that many of the people who need the services can't afford them and that your friend might not want to talk to her parents so they have payment options. They're website is really helpful:
www.plannedparenthood.org
Good luck!
Most of them charge for services based on income and ability to pay. When you go in for your appointment take a copy of your most recent paycheck receipt to see if you qualify for reduced fees.
She can buy a pregnancy test at a grocery store or drug store. Most counties offer free STD screening. Check with your county health department to see if they offer this service.
i been to planned parenthood alot during my younger days, this is a way for younger adults to go without having money they go by your income and i'm from texas but i'm sure if you say you have no insurance they won't check so they go by your income of how much you make determine. how much it cost now the pregnacy test that's a freebee if you don't have no money but STD test and aids test those are 40, but like i said if you have no income or insurance you won't pay that much no more than30 if that.
you can go to planned parenthood as well as any clinic for FREE as long as you have proof that you are a student and say you have no income. you are doing the right thing, good luck
