Is this breast cancer?

For the past 4 weeks ive thought I was preg. cause ive been having preg. symptoms but a few days ago I just noticed I have a swollen and sore axillary (underarm) lymph node and I dont have an injury or any infection that I know of. Im starting to get really scared. I also started swimming laps last monday and stopped thursday cause I was sore, could it be from that ?

The amount of misinformation of this site NEVER ceases to amaze me...Women in their 20's CAN and DO get breast cancer. There have even been children and yes, MEN, with breast cancer. There have been women in their teens w/ breast cancer. And yes, again, all of this is unusual, but it can and does happen. The rate of breast cancer in younger women is actually on the rise, not the decline.

All that being said, your best bet is to go to the doctor's and have yourself checked out. Often w/ breast cancer there is nipple discharge, and the lump is usually, tho' not always, found in the breast first, not the lymph nodes. It is not in any way unusual to have a swollen axillary lymph node if your body is fighting off an infection somewhere else, and this could even include a dental infection.

It's been four weeks now, you state. I would immediately decide to stop "scaring myself" any longer, NOT ONE BIT LONGER, b/c fear is crippling, and if this is nothing, you've been needlessly torturing yourself for a month now. It's time to make an appointment and go to the doctors'. NOW. TODAY, and to get this over with.

what exactly are preg symptoms? you could have pulled something while swimming and you could be mistaken about it being a lymph node. how old are you? you shouldnt really worry about breast cancer unless you are 40 or over. just wait a few days and see if it goes away. you wont die of cancer in a few days from a lump u just found.

Please don't be scared and go to your doctor,I'm sure its not cancer and you don't have anything to worry about, but see a doctor on time means having something simple taken care of and not letting it get worst.

hey frist of all have you every heard what you fear mit happen what you know won't? well your best bet is go to the doctor but let me eaze your mind i've had a few lump's removed and they where sore and my doc told me if they are sore that's a good thing it maybe your drinking to much pop or coffee or candy bar's or shaving to close go to your doctor and have it checked out
