My first period was the most horrific and embarassing moment of my life, no lie.
I was in the fifth grade taking an end of the school year exam and discovered it when I got to go to the bathroom during a break. I immediately started to cry and had to go back to my classroom and tell my MALE teacher that I needed to go to the nurse. The nurse talked to me about it calmed me down, gave me a pad, and that was it... I was fine to go back to class cuz i was wearing dark bottoms so nothing showed.
The next day was a different story. I continued to wear the small pads that the nurse recommended for me, but I wore light colored jean shorts. I went to the bathroom once again during a break from an exam and was a complete mess. My shorts were covered in blood, and I mean covered. I had to go back to the room, tell my MALE teacher again, go to the nurse, and ultimately ended up going home.
After that day I wore thicker pads and slowly converted to tampons, was extremely careful of embarassing moments, and always made sure I had extra pads/tampons in my bag.
I hope this doesn't scare you... but it's my first period story like you asked for. :-)

Mine was pretty embarassing. I started my period during the night of my cousin's 13th birthday. I woke up the morning after the sleepover and my panties were soaked in blood. I had to ask her mom (my aunt) where the pads were because I wasn't going to be going home for a few hours. I was mortified. Plus, what are you supposed to do with a pair of blood-soaked panties in someone else's house? ugh. Thankfully, it got better after that, and my body started warning me before bleeding.
Sure. I woke up in the middle of the night with a tremendous stomach ache. My dad came to me and said he'd get mom. I said it wasn't that because there was no blood. I had to stay home from school it hurt so badly. Finally some blood came out. My mother told me, "Now you're a woman." I wasn't very happy about this.
Now there is ibuprofen, so no one has to suffer anymore.
ok, well my period story isn't some dramatic amazing deal, but ill clue u in lol. it didn't happen at school or anything, (like i was kinda hoping so all my girlfriends would know lol) but it happened kinda suddenly. i didn't expect it at all, and i didn't get any signs that it was coming. i just went into the bathroom one afternoon, looked down, and there it was. lol. it was light red, and kinda blotchy. i knew it was my period, of coarse. and i was really excited that i got it. i mean i had been waiting for it, and finally there it was. im not completely sick of it yet, but ive had it for a couple years. at first be excited. its your period! :)

It was the month I turned 12. A few days prior to my period, I started having cramps. But I didn't actually know it was "the cramps." They were progressing and I started thinking it may have appendicitis. I didn't really want to tell anyone because I didn't want to go to the hospital. Then one day, I went to the bathroom, and there you have it. I was shocked, but knew what it was. I went to get my mom to tell her in private because we had company. She thought I was being silly at first, but I took her to my room and told her. She hugged and congratulated me. Then she brought in new underwear and the bulkiest pad ever! I was growing up and how I wish I could go back to those pre-period days...

well my started when i was about 12 and i was at school.i found out when i saw a little bit blood stain in my underwear. i didnt know what was happening to me.. i thought i cut my self or something.. First time i tried to put a bandage under there lol.. yea it funny. Then it wouldnt stay so i put tissue under there.. When i got home i told my mom and she told me that i was having my period. All girl go through it and it nothing to worry about. She say it not the end of the world and to relax. She also told me that i was becoming a women. So then when we had talk i thought thinking and went on wit my life.
