Jelly like discharge?

Question:
pretty much clear, but really sticky.. doesn't seem to be watery.
is this ovulation? this is my 1st month w/o using oral contraceptives for a year.. is this why its soo sticky/stiff?

Answers:
Yes, this sounds like ovulation. The mucus from ovualtion is clear like egg white and if you touch it, it is stringy. If you touch your finger and thumb then pull them apart it will be stretchy from one to the other. Once learn what it is like it is very easy to recognize and to know when you ovulate. Yes, this is why it is so sticky. The first period after having a baby will seem the same way too.

this should explain
If it is clumpy and "cottage cheese" like, it is a sign of infection and should be looked at by a doctor.

If it is egg white consistency, then it is ovulation. The fact that you just got off of birth control is a good reason why this is happening. This means you have resumed ovulation. :)
yep, it's cervical mucus. the actual term for it during ovulation is egg white cervical mucus, because the color and consitency resembles uncooked egg whites (clearish and stretchy) and that is one of the best ways of detecting ovulation, next to basal body temperature
its normal every girl gets it. but if it smells really bad and its yellow then its probably a yeast infection. otherwise its normal
It is cervical mucus, the thicker and stickier discharge occurs during ovulation.
Definitely ovulation. It normally falls in the middle of your cycle, for example if you had a period once every 30 days, it would happen around day 15 for a couple of days.
Distinct signs of ovulation are the heavy clear thickish discharge, it's similar to a thickish egg white.
Another distinct indication of ovualtion is that while you are ovulating you will notice that you are more "in the mood". It's all a part of nature, we are designed to be more receptive and actually want sex more at the time we are the most likely to conceive.all part of God's plan to keep the species going.
Look for those two distinct signs and notice the timing each month, chart it too, it will become a very obvious pattern to you if your cycle is regular. I have been doing this for many years and it's quite predictable.
