Can you start birth control at any time?

Question:
or do you have to wait until the day after your period?

Answers:
you have to wait until the sunday closest to when your period started.. they recommend that or a sunday start.
its best if you wait until the first sunday after your period
I have heard many Dr's. say wait until the Sunday after your period, but my Dr. never said that. When I asked him, he said that it honestly doesn't matter when you start the pill, because your body will work your cycle to the pill anyway. I have personally never taken the pill on the Sunday of or after my period and have never had a problem. Just talk to your Dr. and do as they think is best for you. Good Luck!
No, I don't think it is best to start birth control at anytime, before you start birth control, you should consider some of the following:
1. Birth contorl can sometimes make you really fat/thin.
2. Birth control can make you have irregular menstraul cycles. Irregular menstrual cycles could mean you may have to start a fertility when you want to have kids.
So it is best to consult your doctor and go over the effects of birth control. Goodluck.
