Why can't I lose weight?

hi, i'm 13 and i'm already studying to become a doctor. About the part where you don't eat very much, that can cause you to gain weight too, not just eating. That's because your body starts depending on all your needed/regular body fat, and when you don't eat much, you don't get all the nutrients and protein you need. So, your body tries to live off the fat in your body already, creating more fat. Just eat regularly but be on a healthy diet. And about the 1000 diet calorie diet, see your check up doctor about that. Just excersise daily and eat healthy, enough to satisfy your stomach. i hope i helped.
Have you been checked for PCOS? It sounds like you have some of the symptoms. I'd talk to my doctor about that if I were you.
First of all, your doctor shouldn't have prescribed that to you if your thyroid was normal. I am 15 and have had irregular periods and was also on HRT. I gained 35 lbs while struggling with my periods also. First of all a 1,000 calorie diet is not healthy. You need to consume at least 1,200 calories a day. That's a healthy goal. I would say try exercising. Not going to the gym, but dancing is a good/fun way to lose weight. I've been doing it and have lost 6 lbs so far. I just crank up the toons and dance. But I would say find another doctor and get a second opinion about your condition. I personally know exactly what you're going through, and I know it's not fun. Take care and good luck. Sorry if I wasn't that big of a help.
It might be because of a slow metabolism, which could cause it to be hard to lose weight.
To successfully lose weight, you must carry out
a plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.
Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionally
balanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity.
