Are tampons bad with a yeast infection?

Question:
I had and treated a yeast infection 3 days ago, and it's slowly getting better. I just started my period today. Is it a bad idea to use tampons?

Answers:
No, no, no...PLEASE do not use a tampon while you are treating a yeast infection. Even though your "treatment" is complete, it would be best that you use a pad for the first couple of days of your period, because using a tampon will only allow the growth of new bacteria in the vagina. Use a pad, let it breathe, and by the time your next period comes around, you should be ok to use tampons again. (You can also refer to the instructions that came with your yeast infection treatment: they also say to not use a tampon during treatment.)
Not nessicarly i think u would be fine
no, the pH fluctuation caused by your period kills the yeast anyway
I dont think it would be. If you want just use pads until you know its all better. I would probably do that just to make sure nothing else happened.
Yes its a bad idea. Don't listen to the idiots who said its not! I read about this on a Flow Forum about periods and the girls say its a bad idea to use tampons when you just had a yeast infection.
I would use pads to be on the safe side, because treating a yeast infection is important. You can have it for a long time if it's not properly treated. Just to be safe, and make sure youre totally cleansed of everything down there, it would probably be healthier for you to use pads instead of stopping it up.
