Taking pills after intercourse to avoid pregnancy cause changes in period time?

Question:
I took 2 pills after intercourse & 2 pills 24 hours later to avoid pregnancy. this will effect my menstrual period?

Answers:
The emergency pill will cause you to have you period now, this is how it prevents you from becoming pregnant, but it does not affect your cycle as this is not controlled by your period, instead your period is controlled by your cycle. So you should have your next period as expected except it will be much lighter.
