HPV vaccination information, please.?

Question:

Someone I know had cervical cancer. They explained to me that women can fight off HPV and cervical cancer and do normally. However, being exposed to the vaccination beforehand makes it so the version that are not covered under the vaccination are not fought off.

Since I have zero knowledge on this and she was a survivor of this cancer I took her at her word. I wanted to actually find out if this was true but I haven't a clue where to look. If anyone can point me somewhere and or tell me this is true that would be great. If you are going to tell me this is true indicate your sources/degrees/knowledge please.

Tha name if the actual medicine is Gardisil. You could try looking that up.

Edit, I just re read your question. That is not true that if you have the vaccine, you are unable to fight off certain strains. Also there is no way she could have had the vaccine and then had cervical cancer as it onlt came out about a year ago.

hpv in younger women can "go way" or stay dormit cervical cancer depending on the degree can be treated if caught in time i am not sure her of her hpv or age or pap results or what kind of the strain of hpv but you can talk to a free clinic for questions
