Can spearmint tea make your period come back?
Question:
Answers:
Incorrect.
There are several things that cause the menses to cease and you really should have a doctor check out your general health to assess the true nature of the problem. You may have a hormonal imbalance. You could be seriously underweight. In any case, a medical assessment is in order to see what is really happening biologically.
your mom just wants to put ideas in your head for hope.
no
Never heard of it, but a good website to check is webmd.com
Uh, NO.
Here is a web-site check it out. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spearmin...
Doesn't sound like it would do that to me but I didn't read the website yet.
I've never heard of such a thing. Did your mom suggest going to visit your gynecologist to find out if there's a medical reason why you're not having a period? I would start there - maybe the doctor can help more.
If it is true it probably doesn't have much of an effect, and then only for irregular periods with certain causes. Best to see your gyno to make sure it's not something serious interfering with your normal hormone production.
Most herbal remedies are old wives tales, it's just funny how some of them end up being true. Vitamin E and primrose oil is great for uterine bleeding. (even the OB/GYN says so) I've not heard of spearmint. So many women have irregular periods that you should not worry for several months. After that, see your Gynecologist.
That i know, the only reasons you would not have a period is either you are excessively underweight, have an extremely low percentage of body fat (athletes). You just got to puberty and your body is trying to regulate itself. Its normal for it to come and going for the first couple of ones. Your pregnant. Or you have hit menopause. Don't really think tea will help for any, so no.
No sweetie, no my dear..
there are no grounds to support such a notion about any tea, bringing back regularity in the menstrual periods.
Regularity of menses, is a more complex issue, where many factors have to be taken in account.
First of all.., are you pregnant? (I know it sounds corny, but it MUST be asked, second, your age, third, are you on the pill?...have you had delays before?
third, how is your hormonal (hypophyseal) profile doing?
There is more to a delayed period than simple time--
It would be better to check what is causing that delay, rather than trying unproven remedies.
You need a thorough cheking by your GP or referral to the gynecologist, because the matter is not that simple (for example, your thyroid may be working more slowly than the average woman of your age group). just to mention a few factors that may explain the delay.
You deserve to be properly evaluated.
Spearmint, thyme, rosemary, winterhead, or any tea, is useless if we try to use it to solve a serious matter.(or just an uncomfortable one)
