Women only pretty please! (Men really wouldn't know...ha ha)?

Question:
Is it normal for your period to be delayed after you have lost your virginity? I am on birth control and used a condom, so I know I'm not pregnant, but my period has been delayed by 2 weeks. I just wanted to know if this was normal or not. Please only serious answers! Thanks!

HA! THANK GOD! Ok im sorry... See i was really worried about a month back almost... I was alomst 2 weeks late after my first time too! So if its weird .damn were both in trouble lol If it is really please tell me...Im pretty sure its normal though.
Im asked around and every1 said it was normal...
yes, its totally normal.

just take a pregnancy test to be sure. you never know.
you actually might be pregnant. you might be the .01% that the pill doesnt work for.
Um...I was on birth control when I lost my virginity and mine didn't delay.

If I were you, I would take a pregnancy test. If you started using birth control shortly before you had sex, you should know it sometimes takes up to 3 months to start having an effect on your body.
birth control isnt effective 100% of the time, and neither is a condom

you could be preggers
but there isnt a very good chance of that. a verrrry tiny chance at that

i guess it would be normal
but i would take a preggers test just in case

2 weeks is a really long while
=//
good luck with it

and keep me posted

you will be kept in my prayers

The birth control alone is enough to screw with your period. The other factor you mentioned (losing your virginity) really has no effect on your cycle.
Birth control fails as well as condoms fail. Sounds like you like playing Russian roulette with pregnancy.
yes
Hello there.
It is very normal for that to happen especially when concern of pregnancy is on your mind as well as any other issues you may be dealing with as stress plays a BIG factor in bodily functions in men and women.Relax and know you took all the precautions you needed to and by the way..guilt is the worst form of worry..Just so you know..Bless you and good luck.
Sweetheart, there is ZERO guarantee that two methods of contraception would prevent pregnancy as NO method is EVER 100% effective. There is a greater chance of protection, but it is NEVER guaranteed.

That being said, sex does NOT have any effect on period occurrence. If you're stressed or have been recently ill then this might have a role in the delay.

Just to be safe, take a pregnancy test. And if pregnancy is this big a worry for you, reconsider being sexually active.
Umm yeah I think so, mine was a week late and im fine.

also why does it say only pretty ones now thats not dumb at all!
Its not normal for losing your virginity to cause your periods to change.

That being said, there are other reasons. How long have you been on birth control pills? If you just started them, it would be normal for them to cause disruption in your cycle. But also if you JUST started them they are not as effective as if you had been taking them for a couple months.

You might also just have irregular periods, that is common. But if they were completely regular for years until now I would rule that out.

Severe stress or extreme changes in diet and exercise can also cause you to miss periods.

And then, like some other people said - it is still possible for you to be pregnant. Unlikely, but possible. Birth control pills and condoms both still have a failure rate so you never know. Take a pregnancy test just to be sure.
Hon, a woman can still get pregnant even with being on the pill and him using a condom.
