Low Blood pressure?
Question:
My blood pressure was 100/60 today I am currently 13 weeks pregnant. The doc said it was alright but it seems low to me? I am confused. Does anyone know if this is alright or not should I seek further assesments?
Answers:
It is perfectly normal. In fact lower side in the normal range is better as heart has to pump against low resistance. If you don't have any problem, don't worry about it, it will be raised due to worrying!
Good luck!
You're starting the second trimester of pregnancy. Blood pressure usually decreases in the second trimester. If you feel okay, there's nothing worrisome about a blood pressure of 100/60.
Congratulations on your pregnancy! 100/60 is a bit low and it's great that you're under a doctor's care. Hypotension is the medical term for low blood pressure, which is defined as below 90/60. This occurs when the pressure on the blood vessel walls falls below normal limits. Low blood pressure that does not cause symptoms is generally considered to be a sign of good cardiovascular health because there is less stress on the heart and blood vessels.
