Starting birth control pill a while after your period.?

Question:
I read on the "How to start" packet thing that came with the pills that you're supposed to start the Sunday after your period, but the doctor lady told me to start taking them today.. a while after I already had my period. I told her when I had it, but she still told me today. I'm sure I can trust her as a professional, but I'm just wondering what the reason for this might be.

Help is appreciated =] Thank you.

Answers:
its the same thing. its move convinient to start on a sunday, that way you can keep track more easily. a pill is a pill. it doesnt make that much of a difference. good luck!
