Tell your mom you need to go to the doctor because you just cannot take it anymore with the bad cramps and moods. Tell her it is getting more painful (expand on this a lot okay!) and then you mom will take you ... then hopefully the doctor will day well ... lets try her on the pill and it will regulate her. Be prepared thought ... IF you go on the pill they will probably want to do a pap smear on you (but if you have not had sex this won't be necessary). Get your mom involved and tell her I really want you to go to the doctor with me because you are scared and you HAVE to put your mom at ease ... come in on time and obey the house rules and you will be surprised how quickly you will get a good trust together (but don't ever break it) then you will have a hard time getting it back. Make sure if you get on the pill that you get a pill cycle where you are ALWAYS taking a pill then you will get a routine down taking it.
tell her exactly what you want it for. i griped a lot about my cramps (believe me, they were awful) and my mom got it for me to see if it helps. try explaining to her that you think you're too young to have sex and you don't want to yet. tell her just how bad your periods are and hopefully she'll get where you're comming from.
I have had really bad cramps since i first got my period 10yrs ago. I have never been the pill or anything. My best advice is to go see a doctor and have them prescribe motrin. It is the best thing when it comes to cramps, I start to take it a day or so before my period and by the second day I dont feel a thing. The body reacts in many ways to birht control and if your not sexually active you might want to try the motrins first. Also a cup of hot tea helps.
My cramps sometimes make me crazy along with nausea, dizziness and more and back and leg pain then anything, I've tried it all except for birth control and so far for me its the only thing thats worked.
Talk to a doctor and see what they tell.
Good Luck
