Nuvaring question:?

Question:
I was taking yaz and loved it, but I missed the Nuva Ring. I was on Yaz for two solid months and then switched to the NR right when my period started, directed by my MD.

How do you know that you have the NR in the correct position so that it does work? Also, do you think I need a back up method, since I switched birth contols. I've been on the NR now for 3 weeks. Just about to take it out to start my period. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Answers:
When you put the NR in, usually it just slides up in there and it should be in place. It will place itself. It can only go so far. You shouldn't need a back up if you just came off of Yaz. I have been on the NR for about a year now, and I really like it.
