I do it too. It's becuase the modern toilet was designed to stop smells, not so much for human biology. The natural way to take a crap is by squating, which spreads the cheeks. Toilets in some other places of the world were designed for squating (although they're not so good at keeping sewer gasses from rising). People who squat actually have fewer cases of hemmoroids. The reason being that the muscles in your butt were ment to be used in a certain way, and us in the west rarely work them out.
Anyway, long story short, we were not ment to sit while crapping, but flat assed people can manage to do it without trouble, so no one has bothered to improve the modern toilet.
IMO, this is descrimination.
