A little concerned...girls only please!!?
Question:
Instead of a normal period, I'm having really light bleeding, but instead of blood its kinda...brownish.
Its definitely not pregnancy or an std because im a virgin.
Is this normal??
Answers:
The brownish is old blood. Sounds like not all of it came out last time you had your period, and it's being flushed out in the next one. It does happen sometimes, but if it becomes a regular thing, you might have endometriosis. (?) Keep track off how often it happens for the next six months and see if you notice any patterns. If it only happens occasionally, your probalby fine.
It can be...at 13 maybe your body is going through new changes...the brownish tint is the beginning of the period...if you are really concerned about it talk to your mom and to also see a doctor if it becomes a problem.
Completely normal. First time I got the brownish/blackish bleeding I freaked right now.
Just know that it doesn't happen everytime, not sure why it happens.
Every girl goes through this at one point or another. Just another Joy of being a woman *rolls eyes*
I know i have the same problem right now and im like totally scared. and im a virgin too. When you get a good answer please let me know! =]
you are probably fine. change in exercise, change in diet, or too much stress can cause such a situation. also... you've had it for about 3 years, so it is time where your body might start changing and getting on a more defined cycle. have you always been regular. after the first couple years, most girls will have either a shorter, longer, lighter, or heavier period. it changes as the hormones in their body change.
if you have itching, fishy smell, or any other sort of weird color discharge - yellow, green, cottage cheese looking - then you probably have some sort of bacteria infection... (which can happen for any sort of number of reasons from wiping wrong, taking a bubble bath, sharing bathing suits...) you will need to see a doctor so that you can get an antibiotic and make it go away.
