Mentruation problems?

Question:
I have always been very irregular with my periods and about 7 months ago I went on the pill to make them regular and it was working fine but about 2 months ago I stopped taking them to give my body a little rest (plus I hate pills) and Well, I have not gotten my period instead I am getting moderate pains in my abdomen and a little dark discharge which could be clotting. I am going to see my doctor this week but I would love some input on what anyone thinks on this. What could be happening? I did take a pregnancy test around my period due date and it was negative.

Answers:
It might just be your hormones re-adjusting to not taking the pill. Wait it out until you see your doctor this week and discuss your concerns with him/her.
Everything you said is normal. Your body just needs sometime to readjust to the changes in hormones. You will get period soon.
well when u take the pill your body dosent make the female hormone so u dont ovulate and thats why u have much more regular and lighter periods. when u get off the pill your body needs time to get back in the swing of making those hormones (when u took the pill it provided u with the hormones your body needed but still proventing ovulation) so it can take up to a yr for your body to get use to it. the process is sometimes hard on the female body so u dont fully menistrate dont worry with time and maybe some meds from your doc to help even the hormones u will get back to the way your suppose to be with your cycle
