It is best to wait until your 6 week checkup. The doctor can make sure you have healed properly, and you can get on birth control to avoid any accidents. Just remember to take it slow. It can be rather painful the first few times back.
It depends on how postpartum you are. We recommend any where from 4 weeks on, giving you enough time for your episio to heal if you delivered vaginally. But remember that you can still get pregnanct even with out a period
