How should I tell my mom that my boyfriend and I have been sexually active?
Question:
I've thought about being causal about it and saying, "Hey mom, did you know Mike and I have been having sex?" but that didnt seem like the right way to approch the subject.
My mom and I aren't very close, so we don't usually talk about these kind of things, but I want to let her in somehow.
What could I say to open up the subject without just jumping right into it?

hmm, i would try sitting her down, then telling her straight up that, "hey hoe, mike and i are making magic in the bed and night, and you aint gunna do nuthin bout it!" and then when she gets all mad, whip out the brass knucks and beat her until she is content with the idea of you and i getting it on, in her bed, and her bathroom, and her closet, and her car, and everywhere else in your house.

dont tell her, parents dont want to hear that. keep it simple and just leave it alone. you will mess up all thats good right now if you confirm it to them.dont tell them unless they ask.
Try pulling her at side and tell her the truth start out by talking about her day or something just for starters and just tell her the truth. You can also just blow it out when she argues with you for no reason.

I don't think it's a good idea. I couldn't tell my mom I was sexually active. But my mom would really be mean and call me names. I'm 23 and I still haven't told her how long I've been active, but she has a lie implanted in her mind which in turn makes everyone happy.
I would say wait and see if she asks, but just go about your normal routine.

You are very mature that you want to tell your mom that you are having sex. I hope that you do tell her, and she recognizes that, because I never had the guts to do it.
I think its like ripping off a bandage, if you build up to it, you will be momentarily torturing yourself and even her too.
So just say it...right out of nowhere, otherwise you might loose your guts.

Depending on how old you are will affect her shock response, but maybe she already knows...mine knew...give moms some credit!

It's probably best you don't say anything. Mom's are smart. She probably already knows!! There's no need to talk.
