I started my period on Saturday morning (1 day late) I usually have a heavy period but I barely soaked a pad Saturday, the same thing Sunday. Well Sunday night my husband and I had intercourse and Monday and Tuesday I spotted dark almost brown blood. My period usually last 7 days.I am also having pains in my lower abdomen, it started just on the left side and now both sides are hurting. What do you think could be the cause? I don't have insurance so I have to wait to see a doctor until Monday.

Honestly, it just sounds like an irregular period to me. Sometimes having sex while menstruating can make your flow a little funny, too. The pain in your abdomen is probably late cramping. If you're still experiencing problems after a few days, I'd call up a doctor or give Planned Parenthood a call for an appointment.
