I've had problems with UTI from the time i was a little girl. Here are some things that helped me:
Wear cotton underwear
Drink plenty, plenty of water every day
Keep cranberry juice in your diet
Don't hold your urine, go when you feel it
Don't wear thongs! Honestly. No underwear is better than thongs when it comes to this. That was a hard one for me but it made a major difference.
If you're sexually active ALWAYS urinate after sex. Don't have to go? Just sit there with the water running until you do.
Limit your caffeine intake. It seems to make it worse.

You mean to tell me that she has not referred you to a UROLOGIST yet? I had the same problem, except that after #4, they sent me to a urologist and did ultra sounds on my kidneys and bladder to seek out a problem. You should go see one very soon.
ow, those hurt :/ just make sure youre keeping yourself clean down there. and if youre sexually active, and not cleaning as much as you should, that could be why too. see a urologist.

You need to see a Urologist. Are you drinking enough water? Cranberry juice (100% juice) is also good for UTI's. If you don't like the taste of cranberry juice, they sell cranberry extract pills in the drug store. I have heard that wearing cotton panties also help. I wonder what are some of the side effects of the antibiotic that you are taking? I hope that you find relief soon.
My 7 yr old SD gets them often and every time her mother rushes her to the Dr for antibiotics. I am all for medical care but if you are always on antibiotics you will soon grow resistant to them. I noticed with my SD that she holds her urine until she is about to pee on herself (i get onto her about there because when she does that she DOES pee on herself). She does not drink plenty of fluids she actually was only drinking 3 glasses 6 ounces each a day! I also put cranberry juice in her diet. White cranberry she didn't like the red. She was also not washing properly in her private areas which resulted in yeast infections.
Since she moved in with us and she now follows the rules I listed above she has not had one. She went to visit her mom for 4 weeks and had a reassurance. Makes you wonder doesn't it. If all else fails you should see a urologist for further testing.
it happened to my wife when we first started to have sex it lasted for about a year until she finally figured out after sex pee asap it flushes everything clean she never gets it anymore
