Can taking 'the pill' and depression pills at the same time cause bad mood swings?

Question:
I just started taking the pill and am taking medication for depression too. Can the two interact with each other in any bad ways? Does any one know?

Answers:
well i will tell u from my experience! i take both.. and at the same time.. so i shall tell u that i have not had really mood swings... well other than ones caused by pms or being a teenager... it doesnt do much... but hten agian u might want to talk to ur doc about it... medicines act differently on different people.. so u should definately consult ur doctor, just remeber evvery one is different and that every medicine is different, but from my exprience i have had none.
there is no interaction between BC pills and depression medications. Meaning, they do not make each other less effective. Taking them together is fine, I have done it before, with ease. If you do begin to experience bad mood swings, you may want to contact your MD to have him/her switch your BC. There are many new findings with some new Bc pills that have shown to cause mood swings, much like PMS.
