Question for women who've had terminations in the UK?
Question:
I can't pretend to have any deep or meaningful reason for asking this. I'm a writer doing research, but I'd appreciate any stories you have - or indeed don't have. I hope this doesn't come across as disrespectful. Thanks.
Answers:
the only harrassment i had was from my own doctors! Their attitudes were disgusting and were very judgemental when it wasn't in any way their right to be.
i did not ask for their opinion and was given it anyway as well as being told in a very judgemental manner not to get pregnant again!
i have not been back to my doctor since and it has been nearly 2 years now!
people on here have been rude and just dont think about what it's like to be in a situation like that, it's the men that seem to understand more than the women! i can understand mums and dads on here gettin on their high horses because they have a maternal/paternal instinct and would probably never imagine doing that to their children because their situations are a lot better than mine ever was.
they dont understand the psychological effect that abortion can have on a woman. it may seem easy and clean cut but at the end of the day it is a life that was growing inside of you and due to circumstances could never have been.
there are a lot less pro-life campaigns going on in the UK now, perhaps because there are more important things to campaign against like our involvement in this farce of a war on terrorism.
there seems to be a lot more freedom of speak in the UK than in other countries by the sounds of it as we are far more laid back here and focus on important things rather than taking more rights away from people.
hope this is of some use to you. doctors are terrible here and i honestly believe that my doctors should be struck off after what they have said to me and what they said to a friend of mine before that.
british doctors should be a fun topic to research lol
I am always amazed why men marry these terminators
What a sorry state of affairs.
In the name of "political correctness", we protect, placate, nurture and excuse the killers while simultaneously spitting on the rights of the real victims.
Whether you are in the USA, the UK, or anywhere on planet earth, abortions are murder. Plain and simple. Not "terminations", not "tissue", not "rights". Pre-born infants are living human beings imbued with the same rights (e.g., life, dignity, protection) as their mothers.
The victims of abuse and harassment here are not the mothers who kill their children, they are the children, themselves.
I can't believe what POS the people who've answered so far have been. I'm not in the UK, but from what I have heard, they don't have as much of a problem. They're more rational, reasonable, and educated there.
You could try www.imnotsorry.net and see if they have any British entries.
