For instant relief, a COLD compress and alcohol-- the cool will stop the blood flow to the area--it is a razor burn--and with that the hair follicles have become irritated and infected due to trauma. The alcohol, although will burn for a few minutes initially, will dry the bumps up. Use the cold compress first then the alcohol. Air dry and try and keep free of moisture, these are your best bets, until you get a cream to dry them up, or the hair follicle starts to grow out again.
