Rare ectopic?

Question:

i had an ectopic pregnancy not in a fallopian tube but on the outside if my womb the consultant had only see it once before so i kept everything no tube removed.has any one else had this whats it called. i had a misscarrage in april and this this month (2 august the opp was ) and am having a colcoscapy at the end of the month. i was going to wait 6 months ish before trying again do you think thats ok or to long could we try sooner.

What a traumatic experience for you!! 6 months is a sensible time to wait after an ectopic pregnancy as it allows your body and emotions to settle, unfortunately any sooner and you run the risk of having a similar experience. it is called an intra abdominal pregnancy. and its rare (2% chance of it happening i think)and there doesnt sound like you have any damage to the fallopian tubes so in theory there shouldnt be any reason why you cant try for another baby a.s.a.p. however, I think you should give yourself a chance to recover both emotionally and physically first?you have been through one hell of a lot so give your body a chance.
