Diagnosed with chemical pregnancy, only 1 spot of blood, and no bleeding yet. 20 days late! whats up?

Question:
So I had a doctor tell me that I was experiencing a chemical pregnancy. I had a + pee test almost 2 weeks ago, and 5 days ago I had a - pee test, so I went to see a physician for a blood test. He said that my hcg levels were too low to get a positive urine test, and that since I had a positive test 1 week before the negative test that My levels were dropping, which is very indicative that the pregnancy is not a viable. He used the term "chemical pregnancy." About 3 days after this visit, I thought i was starting my period, but all I got was a slight staining which was very light pink and lasted for maybe 5 minutes on saturday, and then it happened the exact same way on Sunday again. Nothing since then. My last period started on June 12. How far pregnant do you have to be before they perform a D & C, and I hate to ask but has anyone experienced something similar to all this? Is it not a chemical pregnancy after all? I am so confused!

Reproductive and hormonal problems can be caused by certain food allergies, vitamin/mineral deficiencies, or environmental toxins. Make sure your doctor covers all the bases.
