Is this normal for your first period?

Question:
i first started my period about 2 months ago almost 2 and a half months. I have still not gotten another one yet but i have been having a lot of vaginal discharge like usually everyday, sometimes more on one day and then none the next, etc. Is this normal?? when do you think i will get my next period?

Answers:
That is completely normal. When you first start periods are VERY irregular and can take several years to regulate. Don't worry about it. You WILL get another one.
Yes, your fine and you should be getting it again soon.
It's probably completely normal. It is not uncommon for women to have VERY irregular periods, especially within the first two years or so of having it. The vaginal discharge is also probably normal as it's just your bodies way of cleaning itself out, and for some women is a warning that their period is coming (how soon that is varies by the woman). As for when you'll get your next period, nobody can tell you that as every woman is different. Keep these few things in mind:

1.) Don't stress about it - it could cause your period to be even later
2.) Change in diet can affect your period
3.) Exercise can affect your period, so dance class or anything could be part of why it's been almost 2.5 months
4.) Illness causes lateness as well.

Hope this helps. Don't stress. :-)
