Answers:
Some people never really have a predictable period. If it is something that you worry about I would let your mom know how unpredictable it is and ask her if there is any way to regulate it.
Surely your mom knows that your problem needs to be fixed. Just tell her that you want to take the pill to straighten out your cycle. That's what I did and it helped tremendously. Or ask your mom to go to the doctor with you and see what other options there are.
hi,

yes, its good to keep track of your cycle. you said it doesn't come when it's supposed to---so you know, not every woman has a 28 day cycle. it can be as little as 22 days and as long as 45 days. see if there is a pattern, like, have you had yours every 30 days, etc. if there is absolutely no pattern, you should go to the doctor to have it checked out. usually they will put girls on birth control because that can help regulate. good luck!
At age 14 you don't need to go on the pill to regulate your periods. Being so young, your periods aren't going to be regular just yet. What you are experiencing is very much normal.
I think you should have a talk to your mum and explain that it would be nice to know when your next period is arriving, as sometimes it can be a bit of a pain ie. sleepovers, swimming etc. and voice the idea of birth control and see what she thinks. Mums have all been where you are now and she may feel honoured that you spoke with her like a young adult. Good Luck.
