danielle <3 btw, welcome to woman hood. lol
Welcome to your new woman state. It’s normal and okay to be both excited and freaked a lil. Like I said, you are experiencing some womany changes; and that is a big thing for each of us.
Your period will probably be irregular for some time (up to a year to regulate sometimes). You´ll learn to know your cycle. Some women have their period for 3 days and others up to 8 days. Most women are 28-29 days apart but it not a rule, some go to 35 days. Some have pain, some don’t. Some have pains during and some have pain when ovulating (usually 14 days after your period). This sometimes leaves whitish discharges. Well you’ll learn to know about your body. Ps: Pads are better for night time, set aside some ugly undies for those days.
Well, lucky you. You are now able to give life which no man can ever do. That makes you very special and it is exciting and very scary too. Glad you talked to mom and glad you are excited about it and not really freaked. It is your coming of age and your right of passage to womanhood! Congratulations. I hope you have a wonderful and fulfilled life with babies and a husband that loves you very much. May God bless you as His and see fit to protect and bring honor to your life as a woman. Miss Mary
wow good for you! i've had it for a while but here's some advice cuz i can relate
having a brown period is normal cuz it's just a deeper shade or red!
pack tampons or pads in backpack
don't tell friends untill you are sure it's for real cuz it might be just on/off!
wrap a jacket around your back if you leak
wear a pad in the back of your underwear at night so it doesn't get on your bed
and...
if it happens at school, tell a woman teacher and ask to go to the nurse
if you have a man, say you have the cramps and you were wondering if you could go to the nurse
ask quietly, too!
welcome to womanhood
Yes, when you first get your period it will be VERY light and a little brown-ish. Within 3-4 months your periods will get a little regular and then after the first 6 months they'll get Heavy and just a regular cycle.
It's just brown at first though, don't worry.
When I got my first one it was super light and a light brown color - I didn't even have to use anything because it was so light.
