*Uncomfortable at work*?

I have been there, you have my sympathy! Go to your OB/GYN and have him write (after you explain your discomfort and do not understate what you are feeling, or if you get tired on your regular shifts either) a note recommending or stating that your work schedule needs to be adjusted due to the extra strains (amazing how heavy one teeny-tiny baby can feel) of pregnancy. Pregnancy is actually protected just like a handicap under the Federal Labor (coincidence? ha ha) Laws. Most employers automatically make accomodations for their pregnant employees (more and longer breaks, though I am not sure this is required by law or goes company by company). But your employer needs to make "reasonable accomodations" for your condition, especially once your Doc has ordered it on paper. If they balk or fire you, you will have a nice little lawsuit (no, I am not a "sue everybody" fan) to file. Like I said, by law (don't push this in your boss's face too hard, but mention it if you need to, he may not be aware) they have to accomodate you as they would have to make accomodations for any handicapped employee. You are not being a baby, pregnancy can be very hard on your body, I won't go into a long story, but I wish I had taken it a little easier on myself during my pregnancy (everybody at work and home told me to slow down but I tend to overacheive, as long as the Doc told me my daughter was healthy). If you put your body under too much strain it can actually put the baby under more strain. Remember, your child lives through you. Congratulations!
Offer to do 5 hours on Saturday and 5 hours on Sunday.
Get up and do some exercises every hour.
Just ask if you can speak with with him or her, and with concern explain that how you have been feeling and if there is any way your schedule can be slightly adjusted.
Chances are likely he or she won't mind at all. Be honest- that is the best advice because otherwise, your performance will lack, and you may even miss time from work because of it.
take a little walk around the offic.
