Haven't had period for nearly 12 weeks...?

Question:
im 19 and have had regular periods since i was 15. my last period ended on may 10th and im not sexually active.. my doctor said its a cycle change but im getting slightly worried.. any help??

Answers:
If you are not sexually active he is I am sure correct just to reassure you. There is no need to force your body to have periods, though this can be done, just for the sake of it. They are in your case currently irrelevant and unnecessary. Their real function remember is to clear the decks to prepare your womb for a pregnancy. If you are not ovulating in the longer term and did want to get pregnant, drugs like clomid will kick-start the system.
ur doc is right
Listen to your doctor! Don't worry. Stress can delay the period even more.
are you under weight? it can have an affect.
What weight are you and what's your BMI? That can have an effect if it's less than the recommended..
Go back to your doctor
Also are you very athletic? Some women stop their periods if they are very athletic or arent' eating well.
as a teenager you still have flirting hormones which control your menstrual cycle. If you are not sexually active then you have nothing to be afraid of as amenorrhoea in young girls is commonly due to pregnancy. Your period should commence normally at most within six months
even though u arent sexually acitve if u are athletically active can u go on the pill to regulate your period but more than likely if is because u are extremly irregular and u need to maybe have a d/c to scrape the uterus and stuff to get the blood flowing and then go on bc pills as they will regulate u too. i hope this helps and good luck...
trust ur doc
OMG...That would freak me out also, but listen to your doctor!
