Implantation Bleeding or my Period?

Question:
I've been off BC for 2 months and have had unprotected sex numerous times during that time. My period was almost 2 weeks late and it isn't normal. HPT's have shown negative twice, but if I am having implantation bleeding is it too early for a positive anyways or could this be a result of no more BC Pills.

Also, can anyone explain to me exactaly what Implantation Bleeding is? Thanks.

Answers:
It could be either of those things, I would say just wait at least another week to see if you get your period then retest. Implantation bleeding occurs when an egg has been fertilized and implants into the lining of the uterus. Because the lining uterus is made up of blood, there can be a bit of blood expelled in some women.
