Do you mean it's swollen into a lump? If that's the case it's probably a swollen lympth node. If you mean a lump like a large, hard pimple it's an abscess. If that's the case, she needs to go to the doctor's to have it drained. It's very common
your friend needs to get this checked out immedently its breast cancer depending on the size it may be easy are hard to tell
She should definately be seen be a doc. It is a symptom of breast cancer but it could also be something else like a swollen lymph node. That can be caused by infection or another illness. Not one to ignore
I have one of these too (I also posted a very similar ?) I didn't get the best advice out there though...
It could be the following:
-trapped hair from underarm shaving, now wrapped in internal tissue
-lymph node
-the beginning of a benign or malignant tumor that may or may not affect the breast.
Either way, try an ultrasound or ask doc about a biopsy.
may be it's lipoma , swollen lymph node , or inflamed hair follicle..
it depends whether it's painful, discharging , redness..etc
