What do i do to prevent getting my underwear bloody overnight during my period?
Question:
my night period isn't different than my day one, so yeah...
help me prevent this, it's embarassing, uncomfortable, and my bloody underwear still has stains, HELP!
Answers:
um try putting an old blanket down over your sheets so you dont get your sheets bloddy...also you can try sitting up more so its almost like your sitting in bed sleeping.i know its uncomfortable but it does work.also laying on your side might help...and if that doesnt work get those really really big overnight pads those cover just about your whole underwear
use a tampon
Look all you do is go buy some thick bigger pads my mom got me some made for nightime leakage so try that. I think the brand is Kotex.
You can try wearing a tampon and a pad at the same time.
What about wearing a pad and a tampon.. and always refresh before going to sleep
tampon and pads. Get the thick, long overnight ones and always change before you go to bed.
that just happens sometimes.. and I could kick the napkin manufacturers.. probably men... Anyways.. you are going to have to purchase those all night brands, or the oldfashioned "army ration" type brands that they used to use. huge, long, thick, and bulky, but they could keep the Jolly Green Giants wife dry.. I used them right after my baby's delivery and they held everything in overnight.. goodluck!
note: my gyno told me to never use tampons overnight due to "toxic shock syndrome".. leaving a tampon in for more than 4hours at a time, starts bacterial growth.. and then comes other problems than just leakage..
It might be uncomfertable and icky but this should work, wear tampons, definetly no underwear and sleep on a red towel its better to hide the blood. or even try I'm not sure what its called but its like a diafram for sex but its for a period so ask a doctor what the name of it is. I know that it is round and supposed to be better than a tampon. hope i helped.
They have pads designed for over night wear. They're longer and thicker than your regular ones. You can try tampons too. Just make sure you keep it in no longer than 8 hours to avoid infection or TSS.
This happened to me! What I do now, is I go to bed with either:
Lying on my side with one leg up more, so that the opening of my vagina it pointing directly to my towel.
Or
Get the night ones for heavy flows! Or Try black underwear, eg shorts! Thats what I did, it's hard to see the blood!
have you tried tampons yet? Tampons I would say are probably your best bet I have such heavy periods I last three days.Get the super absorbant tampons Tampax pearl make good ones and a lot more comfortable. If you want to stick with pads get the overnights they are more absorbant than regular ones.
I know how you feel. Get an overnight pad with wings, a regular/super tampon and that should do it. I try wearing shorts too so it won't go through. p.s. If you are having really heavy periods go to the doctor. You could have pcos.
i have the same issue, when i wake up its every where!
i thought about using a tampon but its not safe. b.c tampons are supposed to be worn only up to 6 hours, most poeple sleep longer then that, i usually go to bed at 11:30 ish so that means if i wore a tampon i would have to wake up at 6:30 in the morning..helll no
lots of health issues if you wear tampons tooo long
just a warning
You can try tampons. (They are completely safe to use at night as long as you don't sleep longer than 8 hours). You can also try using an overnight pad.
