i cry almost every night about my weight i hate my body! i am 140 pounds and im 12 years old and i am 5-5 im desprite to loose weight! its really hard for me because my family eats a lot of junk food and it is really hard for me to stick on a diet for even 1 day i really need a fast EASY! way to loose weight PLEASE help!!!:-(

You gotta work for what you want. If your family is eating the junk food, that doesn't mean you have to. Find the healthier solution, and exercise.

i understand you, my parents eat like crap, but i try to stay in shape. i run on my treadmill 5 days a week for an hour each day..and i also do pilates 4 times a week for 30 mins, it keeps me in good shape. if you cant afford a treadmill, then walk around your neighbor for an hour or so, or you could even run if you want..run half the time and walk the other half. ask your parents if they'll help you, tell them your weight bothers you and you'd appreciate it if they'd help out by cooking healthy meals. if they won't help out, then you're on your own. it's not that hard, once u start noticing results you'll be so happy and it will give you motivation to keep on dieting and exercising. well good luck and i hope it works out =D

Thats great that you want to take the first step in loosing weight yourself. Perhaps you could join a loose weight club such as weight watchers.
The key to loosing weight is eating and drinking correctly. Drink plenty of water, cut out all sweet drinks. No junk food and fried foods and eat plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables and lean meats. Regular exercise is also important.

I'm sorry that you feel bad about yourself. You really are at a normal weight for your height. I checked your BMI and it's in the healthy range. So, If you are unhappy with your body then try toning your muscles. Ride a bike, go for a walk or run, swimming is great, too. But don't worry about losing weight because you don't need to.

hey :) i hope i can help you, i should be able to because im a health fitness freak lol, gymnast of 15 years so yeah. Find a sport you like that works out alot of your muscles! like gymnastics swimming tennis things like that will get you in shape. My family eats junk food too but i love to cook sso i cook myself a really nice meal like chicken burrito with low fat ranch! something really nice. if i ever eat a steak or something it is always about my fist size, so its not alot of fat. I also for luch eat a salad and add a few nice things like maybe a little bits of chopped bacon or sausage, it fills you up and tastes great. Also when i get bored i have cravings for food, so instead i go to youtube lol and watch my favorite sport, or i read or i listen to music or do activitys. Also what ever you do DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF. 1. you will lose energy
2. you will feel hungry all the time.
3, you may become depressed.
and 4. as soon as you start eating healthy foods you will gain wait back twice as fast.

but anyways...when i was your age. i was 5'7" and 130lbs. i wasnt happy with my body at all. so i became annorexic. but that wasnt the right thing 2 do. its really bad for your body. just eat lots of fruit and veggies. run around, and play. tell your friends to help you. tell your family to help you. promise yourself youll go down if you try. never forget that promise. trust yourself and never give up.

yes my whole family eats bad, and i try to eat good, you just have to be focused on your goal, it was hard for me at first (it took a couple of months) to get used to eating healthy, cut down porportions, and when i ate at fast good places to order good things, but after two or three months of eating healthy, making good food choices, and not snacking all the time it just becomes a habbit, i know its hard but its all worth it. i no longer crave any fast food places or any greasy stuff. i am 19 now but i started eating good when i was 13!

Tell your parents how you feel. If you speak up it could benefit the whole family! Ask to join a dance class or take swimming lessons. You are very wise beyond your years to know bad eating habits are not healthy. I bet if you tried to eat a little less junk food one day, and then eat even less the next day, your body will get used to not eating certain yummy tasting snacks. It takes your mind many tries before it learns a new habit. Set small goals for yourself so when you reach them it will be exciting. Don't give up. Hey hun. RELAX! Try not to worry, if you want to loose weight you have to take it step by step and not rush otherwise you will make yourself ill! As your only 12, first you should cut out all the sweet food like Chocolate, sweets, fizzy drinks, anything like that, that has alot of sugar in it. If your family eats alot of junk food then it is up to them! You have to say no sometimes, if they get macdonalds, then say no! Do you like swimming? If so, then go with your friends one weekend! Having fun in the water jumping around will be just as fine as swimming laps! Loosing weight doesn't have to be boring! Making foods like salads, and healthy snacks can be just as tasty as all that junk food and you know the good thing about it? Is that it is helping you! Exersice doesnt have to be just push-ups, sit-ups. It can be dancing to your favourite songs, swimming with your friends, going to the park playing around, on your bike and stuff. Don't worry sweety and just don't starve yourself! You will acheive your goal at the end.
