Pregnant or health problems?

Question:
I have been using birth control patch ortho evra, and this happened for the first time: my period came two weeks early and has been lasting ever since. Is it possible for me to be pregnant and have such a long period, or is it the patch messing with my body? Or maybe there is something wrong with me? If you find any links it would be sooo helpful!

thanks

Answers:
Bleeding almost always contradicts pregnancy. Break through bleeding is a common side effect of hormonal birth control. If you've been on the patch less than 3 to 4 months, it's nothing to worry about and your cycle should adjust soon enough. If you've been on the patch longer, call your doctor.

DO NOT take the patch off because you are worried about pregnancy. You will lose all protection and further screw up your cycle. NEVER stop using the patch or any other hormonal birth control without first talking to your doctor and/or confirming pregnancy. Hormonal birth control is NOT dangerous during early pregnancy and will not harm you or any possible parasitic life form sucking the nutrients from your body and putting you through physical and emotional trauma. The patch and all other forms of hormonal birth control do NOT cause abortion or miscarriage.
Errr how long have you been using the patch? Extended periods are often a result from birth control being stupid. If you've been on it less thana 4 months or more than a year its most likely the cause of your extra long period. If not, might wanna talk to your doctor.
I would go to the doctors if your period lasting more then aweek
See a doctor. A period that lasts 2 weeks is not normal.
