How do you stop obsessing about your weight?
Question:
Answers:
I've had an almost life-long obsession about my weight...
(If 'you' sit and really think about it...it's so silly.)
I've learned to put it in perspective so it isn't a daily problem for me anymore...
I think about people with life and death problems... like kids who don't eat for days or eat out of the garbage...people in war torn countries or folks dealing with disease.
I'm thankful I live a life of comfort compared to much of the world and am glad to have decent meals everyday. Yes I'm a little overweight and sure I'd like to shed a few pounds but I'm healthy and I don't obsess about it because for me there's so much more out in the world to worry about.
Good thing you realize you are at a good weight.
I would say to you what all the media usually says...eat right with sensible portions and move/be active daily.
Maybe get a hobby too to distract you.
For me obsessing about weight is such a waste of energy...direct it towards something more constructive would be nice.
Hope at least this answer makes you go 'Hmmm...'
I don't think I told you anything you want to hear but at least I said my piece.
Good luck with your inner dialogue and I wish you good health!
Hang out with fat people
i really don't know to be honest i have been obsessed with my weight for 4 years now it will never leave unless i lose this weight that i have .
stay healthy and dont worry about it !!!!!besides do you think someone like victoria bekham looks pretty well i got news for you she doesnt she looks dead and gross so dont even worry about it
At 5'5 and 120 you can go either way. I have seen a woman at that weight go down to 100 and look great and seen other women go up to 135 and look terrible.
Obsessing is not good either way just thinking doesnt help unless the thinking leads to healthy action. Focus on activities you like that are healthy and see how that works for you.

First of all, you should get rid of that mirror. I mean your weight isn't horrible, really. Eat right, exercise, and occupy yourself. Do sports, hang out with your friends, do anything to get your mind off of your body. You just spent a paragraph explaining your bad qualities, now that isn't going to help is it? Let loose and have fun and get your mind off of your body! =]
By realising that nobody actually really gives a damn, who walks around saying oh shes too fat or too thin, and if they do they are very sad individuals. love yourself for you, i constantly worry about my weight but to be honest i dont really care now, if you are with someone they love you for you and your friends love you for you, then whats the problem, the people we see in the media have to struggle very hard to look the way they do, with exercise and starvation, if they were just ordinary people and not natrually skinny they would just be the same.
if that is you in the picture you look lovely the way you are so i wouldnt worry at all, just dont eat 20 mars bars a day cause you may not be able to fit out the door lol x
i hope you get over the weight obsession x
i heard a joke to have fat Friends to make ur self look smaller. but seriously, id love to be that size. actually i cant be any less then 147 to stay healthy. that is what the military said. try toning and shaping your muscles. you wont be bulky.women don't have enough testosterone, unlike men. u might put a little weigh on but dont freak, muscles weigh more that fat. the same volume of fat VS muscles, muscles is 3lbs more than fat which is 1lb. muscle looks sexy, and heal they, plus it burn 3x as much calories than fat.
look at queen latifeia she is big but i think she is beautiful. is mostly in your attitude.
You are certainly not overweight as you say! Perhaps you could try to get your mind off yourself by volunteering at a hospital or nursing home. Take up a hobby! Find someone who is less fortunate than you in that area and be a friend and encourage them on having a healthier lifestyle. It is easy to obsess about yourself. I know I have been there and have alway found that if I look around there is always someone who is worse off than me. Begin to count your blessing.
Actually you will probably never have a real weight problem because you are so conscious if it...allow yourself to be obsessed its fine, whats the difference between that and being obsessed with football, food, careers, making money, kids, clothes, sex! Woman feel guilty for being too interested in something and you have to ask yourself where did that come from?
GEEEE WHIZZZZZ! If I didn't know any better I would say this is ME asking the question!! LOL! I have uneven hips due to a bilateral pelvic fracture, weigh anywhere between 125-135, and am 5'5 tall. I too feel just like you do when I look in the mirror! I firmly believe that SOCIETY and its need to have frail, pencil thin bimbos walking the run ways modeling the "IN" clothes have really screwed with our heads!! As I get older I am more secure (or just don't give a rats behind anymore) about what people think. We are what we are. Everyone has their beauties & beasts and there isn't much we can do about it . Diet and exercise can't change our pelvic/hip deformities or scoliosis. Life happens and I have tried to just live it as I am..although, I too am human and backslide to that "I wish I looked like her" mode. Just remember though, todays "hotties" will become older, wrinkled, grey-haired, etc.just like the rest of us...all in due time...so do your very best not to obsess and just enjoy who you are. You have to be comfortable in your own skin. Toss the mirror and scale too....it helps!LOL!! Take Care!
